we’re officially in the summer, and it’d be so easy to start getting lax on our goals for the year. but, now is the time to press in even more and work harder! maybe you haven’t been seeing the results you’ve been hoping for and you feel like “my work is worthless — it’s not getting me anywhere.”
on the days you feel like that, remember— your work is doing something. just because you cannot see results does not mean that results are not on their way. but, if you want to see the results — you cannot give up. you cannot throw in the towel and think it was pointless to even start.
think of it like this — a seed is planted into the ground and is watered— but, just because you water it for three days does not mean that it’s going to flourish into a rose bush the next day. it takes time, right? the seed has to go through a process. it has to be nurtured by the soil, watered, and it has the break past the dirt before it can bloom and flourish. but, if you give up watering after the first week because you didn’t see it bloom into the perfect rose — the seed will never have a chance to go through it’s process and become a rose.
you and your dreams are the same. think of the work you are doing right now as the watering process — keep watering your dream. don’t grow weary just because you’re not seeing the results you are wanting. more is going on than meets the eye.
in the same way that a seed grows in the darkness of the dirt, your dream is growing behind the scenes — your work is matters. keep showing up every day. keep giving the best of you to your work each day. don’t hold back.
because, when you stay faithful to your dream despite what you feel or what you see — one day, you’ll see that your dream has flourished into something more beautiful than you could have ever imagined.
so, stay faithful. don’t grow weary of doing good. your dream is in the process of flourishing into something magnificent.
